Text Sequence Numbers

In general the Text Label with the Text Sequence Numbers defines the identity of a record and the place of a record within a text. The first sequence number tends to give the chapter of a book (in the case of the Zuozhuan, for example it would identify the chapter on a Duke), the second the largest unit within that chapter, the third, if any, the unit within the latter unit, and so on.

Since in TLS the records are ordered by Text Sequence Numbers, this enables one to read whole TLS texts consecutively.
